Active Profile has been accredited by the Workplace Wellbeing Charter, a national standard that recognises an organisation’s commitment to improving the lives of those who work there. With this accreditation, we are proud to say that we are leading a healthy and happy workforce.
The Workplace Wellbeing Charter was developed 10 years ago by Health@Work, a full-service consultancy with an aim to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of employees in workplaces throughout the UK. The accreditation, built on best practice, the latest research and business sense, is aimed at improving the health of businesses and organisations.
Not only can securing the accreditation improve a business’s recruitment, but it can also have an impact on productivity, through cultivating a happier, healthier workforce. For Active Profile, that alone was the most important thing, with any recruitment and productivity benefits an added bonus.
Having identified the Workplace Wellbeing Charter as something we wanted to pursue, the process began by our completing a self-assessment and included visits to our offices from an assessor, action plan development and evidence gathering. Interviews with staff from across the business were carried out for their views about health, safety and wellbeing at Active Profile.
After the process had been completed, we received a post assessment pack to help celebrate our success, which included a report with detailed feedback on our strengths and areas for improvement with recommendations, a certificate valid for two years, an asset pack for use promoting the agency’s accreditation and a listing on the Workplace Wellbeing Charter website.
“Being awarded Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation is fantastic for our organisation,” says founder and managing director of Active Profile, Anna Heyes. “It reflects our commitment to maintaining a happy, healthy working environment for all of our team members and we’d encourage other businesses to consider working towards accreditation too.”
Among the other organisations that have achieved Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation are Everton Football Club, United Utilities and the University of Suffolk, as well as Liverpool-based agencies Mando and Red Ninja.
